The Department of Biological Sciences at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to lecture GES 102: Matter, Molecules, Life and the Environment II. The course is the second of a two-semester course consisting of integrated modules covering the areas of matter/energy, molecules, living systems, and environment. These modules will cover major concepts in the physical and biological sciences, emphasizing their application to real-world problems. Concepts covered will include the interactions of matter and energy, laws of motion, atomic structure of matter, structure and properties of molecules, principles of genetics, structure and function of living organisms, evolution, and interactions of organisms with each other and their environment. Includes practical experience in the application of the scientific method through laboratory activities.
