Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in marketing or a related field prior to date of appointment (ABD applicants accepted; PhD Confirmation required by hire date).
- Candidates must demonstrate teaching excellence, a record of quality published research commensurate with years of experience, and the ability to develop and sustain a research program that will lead to original, peer-reviewed publications.
- Candidates must demonstrate initiative or innovation in the marketing discipline or their respective departments/schools/colleges/universities.
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with departmental colleagues and an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
Preferred Qualifications (Examples below)
- Preference will be given to applicants with business and / or teaching experience in sales and/or marketing strategy, the ability to deliver applied learning experiences, and the competence to teach current technologies for developing and implementing sales.
- Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated intercultural competence with distinct groups in teaching, research and/or service.
Duties
The successful candidate will develop and teach courses in their respective fields; one or more core undergraduate courses (Foundations of Marketing, Personal Branding, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, and Global and Cross-Cultural Marketing); and develop and teach Masters of Science and/or MBA level class. In addition to teaching, the candidate is expected to maintain an active research agenda. This includes producing high-quality, peer-reviewed publications that contribute to the advancement of their field. Publications are essential for career progression, as they reflect the candidate’s research contributions and academic impact and play a critical role in promotion and tenure decisions. Furthermore, publication productivity is a determining factor for eligibility for competitive research grants after the initial period of guaranteed research support. Documenting faculty research output is also essential for AACSB accreditation, underscoring our commitment to excellence in research and academic rigor. The candidate will also be expected to engage in service activities that support the department, college, university, and community, as outlined in the college’s Retention, Promotion, and Tenure (RTP) document (available upon request).

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $11,668 - $12,594 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $6,221- $13,224 per month
