Applicants must demonstrate expertise in teaching and research from a decolonial perspective, proficiency in Ethnic Studies methodologies, and the ability to teach classes that count towards the new CSU Ethnic Studies Graduation Requirement. Research connected to California Indian communities is preferred, but not required. The Department has a particular need and interest in research related to visual sovereignty, art and activism, Native literature and literary studies as well as language revitalization. Administrative Support Coordinator II	Sacramento
The Administrative Support Coordinator (ASC) II is responsible for the majority of day-to-day operations of the department office that includes providing lead work direction and training of an ASC I and up to two student assistants. The position provides oversight to ensure clerical and administrative support is provided for approximately 23 faculty and 35 part time faculty and student assistants in the Department. The ASC II position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing various Departmental fiscal records, preparing and inputting the annual schedule of classes into CMS HR and Astra, and organizing both the Part-Time and Full-Time Faculty Hiring Committees in their recruiting and hiring efforts. The ASC II develops and implements procedures and timelines for the department and recommends them to the Department Chair.
