- Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistants position in Athletics.
nder the general supervision of the Athletics Associate Director of Game Management and Facilities, Senior Communications Specialist, and Marketing and Promotions Assistant. The Athletic Game Marketing assistant may work in the presence of athletics professional staff, and fans or independently after the close of regular business hours. The Athletic Game Marketing Assistant receives extensive training and must demonstrate excellent communication, decision-making, and analytical skills which enable them to take appropriate action when necessary. This may involve independently handling a matter that arises or seeking out support through peers or a supervisor.
- Positions available on or after August 21, 2024 and ending on or before May 30, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Create graphics and flyers for Wednesdays on the quad.
- Pregame setup and postgame cleanup.
- Taking clear photos and videos at games, practices, and events.
- Table at-home events, giveaway posters, and other free items as applicable.
- Greet fans as they enter the facility.
- Run in-game promotions during home events and market weekly at home events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates the availability during the week to create graphics and flyers for Wednesdays on the quad.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently or in a team.
- It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent possesses previous experience in tabling and marketing.
- Demonstrates the ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrates the flexibility to work evenings and weekends are a must.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
