Intramural Sports Coordinator (Student Services Professional IA or II) Chico
SSP-IA Summary: Under the close supervision of the Senior Coordinator and Senior Director of Recreational Sports, the Intramural Sports Coordinator assists with the administration and coordination of collegiate intramural sports, esports/gaming, and youth recreation programs. The incumbent supports the assessment, maintenance, and continued development of the intramural sports program and coordinates departmental summer recreation programs for children. Performance is evaluated based on the quality and outcomes of assigned work and contributions to departmental operations. This position serves in a trainee capacity for approximately six to twelve months. Upon successful completion of training, the incumbent is expected to perform the full range of duties at the Student Services Professional I, Range B level. SSP II Summary: Under the general supervision of the Senior Coordinator and Senior Director of Recreational Sports, the Intramural Sports Coordinator administers and coordinates collegiate intramural sports, esports/gaming, and youth recreation programs, including summer camps. Responsibilities include assessing and enhancing program offerings; coordinating leagues, tournaments, special events, and gaming initiatives; ensuring compliance with university policies, laws, and executive memoranda; monitoring budgets and student staff; contributing to departmental strategic planning; and representing Recreational Sports on committees and task forces. The position regularly manages complex and sensitive situations involving college students and youth participants. Evening hours are routine, with occasional early morning and weekend work required to support program operations.

The Department of Psychology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach PSYC 331: Infancy and Childhood. The course focuses on theories, methods, and research in developmental psychology from conception through childhood.  Includes biological, genetic, and physical development; social-emotional development, cognitive and language development; perception and brain development.  Analysis and synthesis of scholarly articles are integral parts of this course.
