- One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions in Career Services.
- Position available on or after September 9, 2024, and ending on or before May 31, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent customer service at reception area.
- Check students in for appointments and email students evaluations.
- Familiarize self with all center resources and services in order to better assist students, faculty, and staff.
- Assist students with matters involving their HireStanState account, registering for workshops and events and utilizing our center and online resources.
- Support Career and Professional Development Center events like job fairs, workshops, tabling in the quad, etc.
- If schedule allows, participate in center events via Zoom or in person and attend sessions to provide feedback on content and development of workshops. -Duties will take place in person as long as guidelines allow in-person delivery of services.
- Support Career Advisor in development of resources for undeclared and exploring students, particularly in the areas of health careers and nursing
- Gather information regarding local high schools to support the Career Advisor in this roleOther duties as assigned
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates ability to utilize Zoom, Email/Outlook, Web Resources, Handshake platform.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain confidentiality, promptness, attendance and office etiquette.
- Demonstrates excellent communications skills both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrates friendly and courteous receptionist skills.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently with numerous interruptions.
- Demonstrates dependability and able to follow-through on assignments.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Ability to lift equipment (approximately 50 lbs)
$16 per hour
