Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned):
The RSP Administrative Assistant supports the RSP department in carrying out administrative duties such as providing administrative assistance in completing expenditure request forms and setting up sponsored projects. Collects, scans, and files necessary documentation. Coordinates with post-award analysts and student assistant and assists in P-card reconciliation and audits. Completes all required documentation and deliverables quickly while consistently delivering exceptional levels of accuracy, quality, and customer satisfaction. Sets up automatic DTB reports delivery and logs checks, reconciles accounts receivables, and prepares reports during meetings or when needed.
Qualifications:
High School diploma. Experience in data entry focused role, or current student completing degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or Finance preferred. Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, including knowledge of financial record-keeping methods, procedures, and practices. Ability to review financial documents for accuracy, completeness, validity, and adherence to standards.
Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent attention to detail, particularly with regard to numbers. Highly organized and reliable. Excellent interpersonal skills to optimize positive support to faculty while ensuring compliance. Ability to work in a team environment and motivate team members by example. The ability to effectively communicate at all levels is essential. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are mandatory. Service focused, including timely and patient response in project management and action-oriented approach to problem solving. Ability to maintain confidentiality, operate with integrity, and encourage trust. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. General comfort with technology and ability to learn new systems quickly. Comfort with navigating and retrieving information from the Internet.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).
The anticipated hiring range: $20 - $25 per hour
Full Pay range: $17.65 - $25.98 per hour
Time Base: Full-Time
